Miss Fashion and Miss Ao dai: Vietnamese beauties in their finery

With their excellent performance, Ninh Hoang Ngan (contestant number 865) and Pham Thi Thuy Linh (099) excellently won the prizes Miss Fashion and Miss Ao Dai respectively in the rapturous applause of more than 1,000 audience at the Event Hall of Vinpearl Land yesterday.

In the enthusiastic support of the large audience at Event Hall – Vinpearl Land, at 19h00, the 42 girls entered the two important competitions: Miss Fashion and Miss Ao Dai. The competitions are not only to find the next 2 ticket holders of Top 15 but also to offer the contestants another opportunity to parade themselves, shine brightly and get valuable comments from the Jury Board, as well as act as a worthy “fire test” to further inspire the girls’ confidence to enter the Coronation Night.

With the assiduous training in performing skills and arts provided by the Organizing Board during the Semi-final rounds, as well as the provided training by leading specialists of Vietnam and Carousel – the Producer of Miss Earth prior to and during the Final Round, the contestants took very confident steps and shone brightly at the two competitions. Watching the show, those who ever saw the previous rounds can tell the big differences and great progress in performing skills of the contestants. The unconfident steps have now been replaced with graceful, smooth and professional movements and steps.

On the background music of “The lovely girl” song performed by singer Anh Quan, the contestants, one by one, appeared on the stage with the impressive evening dresses designed by designer Nguyen Quynh Nhu – “Quynh Paris” brand name. The stage was decorated in an elegant white background and sophisticated, modern light effects to help the contestants best parade their beauty and performing skills, as well as to create a glorious and splendid soiree.

While the evening dresses show presented the modern beauty of the contestants, the Ao dai collection named “The Ocean Dance” of designer Lan Huong – “Huong Jijian” brand name inspired the girls to show their willowy beauty, the pure charm and elegance of Vietnamese girls.

During the intervals between the performances were exciting and lyrical songs and dances of leading Vietnamese young artists including Anh Quan, Kasim Hoang Vu, My Dzung and Hai Dang Dance team. Their performances also received enthusiastic support of the audience.

After the show of the 42 contestants in evening dresses and Ao Dai, taking to consideration their body measurements, performing styles and parading, the whole Jury with 9 official members: Poet Le Canh Nhac (Head of the Jury), People’s Artist Nhu Quynh, People’s Artist Pham Anh Phuong, Doctor of Arts Study Tran Yen Chi, Doctor of Sciences Nguyen Xuan Nam, Poet Hong Thanh Quang, Doctor of Medicine Bui Xuan Truong, Master of Anthropometry Le Diep Linh, Miss Vietnam 1990 Nguyen Dieu Hoa, decided the top 5 Miss Fashion and top 5 Miss Ao Dai.

Top 5 Miss Fashion: Nguyễn Mai Anh (CONTESTANT NO. 333), Bùi Thị Thu Hường (CONTESTANT NO. 866), Ninh Hoàng Ngân (CONTESTANT NO. 865), Nguyễn Thị Thương (CONTESTANT NO. 199) và Hồ Thị Oanh Yến (CONTESTANT NO. 666).

Top 5 Miss Ao Dai: Hạ Thị Hoàng Anh (CONTESTANT NO. 988). Nguyễn Thu Mây (Nguyennová Daniela – CONTESTANT NO. 888), Phạm Thị Thùy Linh (CONTESTANT NO. 099), Nguyễn Phương Mai (CONTESTANT NO. 889) và Nguyễn Thị Thanh Vân (CONTESTANT NO. 599).

These two groups were requested to redo their performances so that the Jury could made more careful consideration and most accurate decision. In the second round of performances, top 5 Miss Fashion displayed the latest collection named “Vietnamese Lotus” of designer Nguyen Quy Nhu – “Quynh Paris” brand name, and Top 5 Miss Ao Dai displayed the collection “The converge of 1000 years” of designer Lan Huong – “Huong Jijian” brand name.

When the MC announced the names Ninh Hoang Ngan (No. 865) as Miss Fashion and Pham Thi Thuy Linh (No. 099) as Miss Ao Dai, the whole Even Hall burst into big applause. With their beautiful body measurements and excellent parading, Ninh Hoang Ngan and Pham Thi Thuy Linh deserved “the capture of the Jury’s eyes”. Each of the two girls will also receive a trophy, certificate, a reward of VND30million and ticket to Top 15.

Another thing that cannot be missed is the very good and professional organization of the show. With the assiduous preparation of the Organizing Board together with the whole-heartedness and creativeness of the credits, Miss Fashion and Miss Ao Dai were a great success, dedicating the audience an art show that are beyond the expectations of a sub-competition. “It’s not by chance that we invited a large number of audience to the show. Our point of view is that a beauty contest does not just need a spectacular Coronation Night, but every show, even Semi-final round or sub-competitions must be attractive as other hightlights besides the Coronation Night… That’s the reason why we made these competitions a real art show…”, said Mr. Nguyen Trong Hien, Head of the Organizing Board, Chairman cum CEO of Vinpearl JSC.

So, 4 of the 5 tickets to top 15 have found their holders. The last ticket will be given tomorrow afternoon (August 17th) after the Miss Ocean Competition, which is starting at 5pm. The final result will be announced at circa 7pm the same day.
